What is this?

Simple Definition

The virus is a program/code designed to reduce the PC/Laptop performance. Here I would like to mention all the viruses are not cause any damages to the PC. All the virus programs are mostly cause the PC data’s.

How the Viruses attack data’s?

There are so many methods the viruses use to attack data’s, but commonly it uses 3 different types of performances it uses to attack those are,

·         Duplicate it itself

·         Attack to other program or instruction

·         Perform unintended actions

These are the performance the viruses commonly use to attack data’s from the PC/Laptops.

Note: The viruses are dangerous it can delete important file/data from our PC/Laptop

Main Types of Virus

1.    Boot Virus

2.    File Type Virus

3.    Macro Virus

How the Virus transmitted from one system to another system?

To transmit the virus there are some common factors are include those are,

1.    Download files/data from internet

2.    Use of external devices

Download files/data from internet

When we borrow the internet we will use download option to download some file or data that we want. Here if the virus files attached with the downloading file the virus simply spread on our machines when we open the downloaded file.

Use of external devices

Nowadays we knew so many input devices are available to store files and data’s. So when we transfer a file from another PC/Laptop, here we have to consider if the file transferring PC or Laptop has viruses differently the receiver PC will be attack by the virus.

How to identify the virus attacked PC?

There are some of the basic symptoms that a PC will show up when effected with the virus, those are,

·         Windows Start up be slow

·         Programs take long times to load than normal

·         Computer hard drive constantly runs out of free space

·         The hard drive runs when we are not using it

·         New files keep appearing on the system and we don’t know where they came from

·         Some different screen performance will appear on the screen

·         Files have strange names we don’t recognized

·         Program size keep changing

·         Programs act erratically

These are basic Symptoms we can identify when our PC effected by the virus.

  

How to Protect our PC from Virus?

Here I would like to mention 2 methods its 100% enough to protect our PC from virus.

1. Anti-Virus Guard software  Protection
2. Switch on the Fire Wall system on our PC

Note: I kindly request you the protection method will 100% enough when we use genuine open source on our system

Anti-virus Software

This software contains anti-virus scanners, which look for viruses. There are two types of virus scanners.

      i.        On-access scanners:

Automatically check the hard disk and diskette each time the system starts up.

     ii.        On-demand scanners:

Executes only on users demand and can be scheduled to run at various time.

Most commercial anti-virus software provides both types of scanners. It will take some time for an anti-virus software designer to get to know about new types of virus and to write software to detect it. Therefore anti-virus software gets out of date very often.

Note: Use Microsoft Essential Security system to protect your file and data from virus. The MES is the best protection system, that I will suggest you.

Firewall system

A computer generally has many ports (think of them as doorways), which allow external programs to access the computer. Hackers use programs to automatically detect vulnerabilities in the computer and gain access to the computer by using this weak access points. Firewall protection secures these ports so that no malicious programs can sneak into your machine.

So these are the 100% protection idea to protect your PC from virus. Hope the post will help you to get the idea about virus.

Computer Based Problems

The word “problem” is the main concept of development, here I have mention the problem the main concept of the development because, every new technologies and ideas will be implement after facing a problem. So every development provide a solution else the begging step to the next development process.

According that we also facing some technological problems while using computers and laptops, on this page I like to mention what are the problem we are facing and how to prevent these problems from our PC’s. Some of the problems are as following,

·         The PC performances are slow

·         Spread of virus attack

·         Internet attacks

·         Unexpected restarts

·         Slow internet communication and etc.

On this post I would like to explain what are the reasons will be slow the PC or Laptop performance and how to preventing those problems through the PC or laptop.

Step 01

First of all check your PC or Laptop performance to identify the system configuration and hard space. To do this testing I have followed the following methods,

Method i

According to this method I have tested my system it shows like following,

Here you can identify the 1^st step of method 01. Once you select the properties another window will appear on your window like bellow image,

The above image is my system configuration. Same like you can check it. Further this you can check your system in another method,

Method ii

The visual of this structure is,

Once you enter “Dxdiag” press ok button to continue you testing, this method appear the DirectX Diagnostic Tool window on your screen like bellow,

Here you can identify entire system performance and configuration as it is. 

Once you checked your system performances, you can get an idea about your system through that you can evaluate whether your system performing faster than your configuration or slower than your system performance. If the system performing well no need of preventing problems else your system performances are slower than system configuration, follow the next step as following,

Step 02

Removing or uninstalling the unwanted software’s on your system

The second step of the system is uninstalling unwanted software’s, here I have selected this process because all other steps are depend on the system configuration if the hard space high the preventing steps will take much times, so if remove the unwanted software’s it will reduce the testing space. According to that I have selected this process as my second step. To continue this process follows the bellow flowchart,

If u follows the above method a window will appear on your screen same like bellow,

If it is appear we have to select the unwanted software an click on uninstall option to continue the process, it will remove the suitable software from the system. On this method I have mentioned unwanted software’s, it is mean when we install a software it has some sub software as well so if press install option it will install entire software with sub software as well.

E.g. If we install Skype it has bing toolbar step as a sub software on the main software.

According to that all the software has sub software, so when we install we have to customize it to install else we have follow the above step [Step 02] to remove it [unwanted software] from system.

Step 03

Disabling the start up programs

In this step I would like to explain how to remove unwanted systems from startup, to do this step follow the following structure,

The above structure will be appear on your window like bellow,

Once the “run” window appears type as “msconfig” and press OK to continue the process. Once it is true it will show another window on the above name like bellow image,

Here we have to select the unwanted system to remove from start-up. Same like above picture shows and press apply and OK to continue once it’s done, a massage box will be appear on your screen to restart the PC, here we have to press restart button to process the system start-up.

Step 04

Disk Cleanup

Once you follow all the above steps jest follow the following structure on your PC, 

If you follow the above structure you will get the bellow window on your screen.

Once it appears on your screen select the driver to clean up, once you select that press OK button to continue the process it will show another window on your screen like bellow,

If your process done it will finalize the drivers’ summary, these are the steps we have to follow to keep the PC/Laptop faster. We have to follow these steps once for a week else once for a month.

These steps are i have given to prevent your PC from unwanted stuck  in my next post i will explain how to prevent our PC from Virus.
