What is this?

Simple Definition

The virus is a program/code designed to reduce the PC/Laptop performance. Here I would like to mention all the viruses are not cause any damages to the PC. All the virus programs are mostly cause the PC data’s.

How the Viruses attack data’s?

There are so many methods the viruses use to attack data’s, but commonly it uses 3 different types of performances it uses to attack those are,

·         Duplicate it itself

·         Attack to other program or instruction

·         Perform unintended actions

These are the performance the viruses commonly use to attack data’s from the PC/Laptops.

Note: The viruses are dangerous it can delete important file/data from our PC/Laptop

How the Virus transmitted from one system to another system?

To transmit the virus there are some common factors are include those are,

1.    Download files/data from internet

2.    Use of external devices

Download files/data from internet

When we borrow the internet we will use download option to download some file or data that we want. Here if the virus files attached with the downloading file the virus simply spread on our machines when we open the downloaded file.

Use of external devices

Nowadays we knew so many input devices are available to store files and data’s. So when we transfer a file from another PC/Laptop, here we have to consider if the file transferring PC or Laptop has viruses differently the receiver PC will be attack by the virus.

How to identify the virus attacked PC?

There are some of the basic symptoms that a PC will show up when effected with the virus, those are,

·         Windows Start up be slow

·         Programs take long times to load than normal

·         Computer hard drive constantly runs out of free space

·         The hard drive runs when we are not using it

·         New files keep appearing on the system and we don’t know where they came from

·         Some different screen performance will appear on the screen

·         Files have strange names we don’t recognized

·         Program size keep changing

·         Programs act erratically

These are basic Symptoms we can identify when our PC effected by the virus.

  

How to Protect our PC from Virus?

Here I would like to mention 2 methods its 100% enough to protect our PC from virus.

1. Anti-Virus Guard software  Protection
2. Switch on the Fire Wall system on our PC

Note: I kindly request you the protection method will 100% enough when we use genuine open source on our system

Anti-virus Software

This software contains anti-virus scanners, which look for viruses. There are two types of virus scanners.

      i.        On-access scanners:

Automatically check the hard disk and diskette each time the system starts up.

     ii.        On-demand scanners:

Executes only on users demand and can be scheduled to run at various time.

Most commercial anti-virus software provides both types of scanners. It will take some time for an anti-virus software designer to get to know about new types of virus and to write software to detect it. Therefore anti-virus software gets out of date very often.

Firewall system

A computer generally has many ports (think of them as doorways), which allow external programs to access the computer. Hackers use programs to automatically detect vulnerabilities in the computer and gain access to the computer by using this weak access points. Firewall protection secures these ports so that no malicious programs can sneak into your machine.
